また食べ物ですね、今日先生もいっていました、皆はやっぱり食べ物についてよく知っていますね。わわわ。。。
cutlet rice at Nara, supposedly very popular among the locals. i like the name though…顽固, it means stubborn. lunch is pretty cheap. around 1000 yen. look at the full set below. free tea.
they would teach you how to grind your sesame and add either spicy sauce or sweet sauce to go with your cutlet. of course, you add both!
my friend ordered the contemporary set, umeboshi (plum) inside chicken cutlet
We also went to another town called imai cho 今井町
it is a well preserved old town in Nara ken. We wandered into a family restaurant and saw that everyone ordered this… it was good!
it is actually omu rice, often found in jap small eateries. it is a really simple dish but not easy to make, cos got to make the eggs wrap around the rice without using chopstick or other tool… you have to toss the pan to shift the eggs to cover the rice… do you understand???
we ended the trip with a quick meal at the ramen street at Nagoya station. my friend ordered this small dish called cha siew rice. delicious! something unique that i have not tried before, unfortunately i can’t tell how they make the sauce
the other half had this, dan dan mian. spicy noodles. pretty salty…
home cooking
just had this for dinner
unbelievable sweet corn. i only need to steam it…. heavenly
