of food.
i wonder why i started this frenzy in shooting food? and i don’t even have the proper equipment. it is probably time to do some research on food shooting. usually the food dressing is required, but that is probably another story altogether. recently i found two really cheap 2nd hand cookbooks by SMAP, of course i grabbed!
for those clueless on SMAP, i shall spare you the details. they are just 4 guys (plus one MC) who really rocked when they cooked. now, i watch them cook every monday evening after a night of studying. they cooked from jap to italian to fusion, with ease. i guess it comes with practice, think they have been cooking for years in their show now. i figured they were actually meditating when cooking. i would like to reach that stage too. hiak!
brinjal with bacon. i don’t remember cooking this, so this must be invented by the other half.
fried rice
a pretty well known chef once commented that gyoza is actually japanese street food or something like that. these are frozen from the supermarket. i think the brand was ajimoto. anyway they are really cheap but you must follow a few steps to get this steamed and fried effect. a quick and easy meal anytime
pasta!
pickled cucumber. taiwanese classmate taught me how to make this. i love it and made it often now. cucumber is best in summer. i have also observed that my asian classmates are more into food. the ang mohs usually skip breakfast or lunch (how can?! right?) or just buy bento or eat out. now, we would exchange our food for tasting during lunch. cool.
